Macclesfield secured their return to the Football League after a six-year absence as a 2-0 win at Eastleigh sealed the Vanarama National League title.
A 26th league victory of the season sent the Silkmen 10 points clear of second-place Tranmere, who only have three matches remaining.
Tyrone Marsh smashed David Fitzpatrick’s cross into the roof of the net after just three minutes to put the visitors ahead at the Silverlake Stadium.
Paul McCallum fired wide for the hosts and then saw a header saved by Shwan Jalal before George Pilkington cleared Chris Zebroski’s effort off the line.
Mitch Hancox doubled Macclesfield’s advantage on the hour mark, curling a low effort into the far corner after Eastleigh failed to clear their lines and the ball reached him at the back post.
Spitfires midfielder Danny Hollands sent an effort inches wide but there was no halting the away side’s promotion party.
