Promotion-chasing Exeter will again check on the fitness of striker Robbie Simpson ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash with bottom side Chesterfield on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old, who has missed most of the season with a broken ankle, was unable to feature in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Accrington after limping off in the previous game.
Manager Paul Tisdale also has some other fitness concerns with Troy Brown, Craig Woodman, Ryan Harley and Lee Holmes also absent at the weekend.
Captain Jordan Moore-Taylor has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
Chesterfield will assess veteran defender Ian Evatt following his return from injury against Mansfield on Saturday.
The 36-year-old had been sidelined for four months with a knee problem but is now looking to continue after playing all 90 minutes of the loss to the Stags.
The Spireites are still without Sam Hird, Giles Coke, Gozie Ugwu and Dylan Mottley-Henry, who are long-term absentees.
The match is a critical one for Jack Lester’s side, who are seven points adrift of safety but do have two games in hand on their immediate relegation rivals.
