Solihull boost survival hopes and push Guiseley closer to drop

Solihull Moors edged closer to Vanarama National League survival with a 3-1 victory over all-but relegated Guiseley.
The hosts opened the scoring inside the sixth minute when a long throw by George Carline was diverted into his own net by defender Ben Frempah.
Solihull soon doubled their lead through Jamey Osbourne’s deflected effort after Kwame Thomas set him free after 19 minutes.
Guiseley halved the deficit four minutes after the restart when Dayle Southwell dusted himself down after being fouled by Carline to send Max O’Leary the wrong way from the penalty spot.
However, Solihull regained their two-goal advantage when Fiarce Kelleger glanced home Darren Carter’s cross to move six points clear of the relegation zone.
The result is ominous for Guiseley, who sit 15 points adrift with five matches left and have an inferior goal difference on their rivals.
