Nedum Onuoha suspended for QPR’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday

QPR captain Nedum Onuoha will miss the home game against Sheffield Wednesday through suspension.
Defender Onuoha was shown a straight red card for violent conduct in Saturday’s defeat at Hull and starts a three-match ban.
Fellow defender Joel Lynch is an injury doubt after being forced off against Hull with a hamstring problem. Jack Robinson replaced him and is on standby.
Boss Ian Holloway is hoping striker Matt Smith has recovered from illness in time to feature after missing out at the weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan is a major doubt due to a groin injury sustained in Saturday’s home defeat to Fulham.
The club’s worst fears that Bannan could miss the rest of the season have been allayed following scans, but a turn out at Loftus Road is improbable.
Striker Fernando Forestieri could make his first start since returning from knee surgery, which has kept him out for most of the season.
Joost van Aken (ankle), Morgan Fox (hamstring), Sam Hutchinson (hernia), Gary Hooper (hip) and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood (groin) all remain sidelined.
