Dunfermline strengthened their grip on a Championship play-off spot with a 2-1 win at Falkirk.
Kallum Higginbotham gave Dunfermline the lead after 24 minutes when his effort from the edge of the box was deflected past Conor Hazard.
As half-time approached Falkirk’s Andrew Nelson flicked on but Alex Jakubiak was beaten to the ball before Aaron Muirhead just failed to get on the end of a free-kick as the home side threatened once more.
Fraser Aird doubled Dunfermline’s lead three minutes into the second half when he slotted in at the back post.
With 13 minutes remaining Falkirk’s Muirhead netted from the penalty spot but it was not enough to earn his side a point.
