Newport striker Shawn McCoulsky remains sidelined for the home game against Stevenage after being diagnosed with pericarditis.
McCoulsky, on loan from Bristol City, is undergoing tests for the heart condition after suffering from chest pains.
Fellow forward Paul Hayes is doubtful after being forced out of last Friday’s home draw against Coventry with a recurrence of a calf problem.
Midfielder Robbie Willmott is hoping to recover from a knee injury sustained in the same match, while skipper Joss Labadie is in rehab following knee surgery.
Stevenage are expected to be without forwards Dean Bowditch and Mark McKee.
Bowditch missed Monday’s home win against Barnet due to a knee problem and McKee (calf) has been sidelined for two matches.
Joe Martin and Jack King both recovered from knocks to play the full 90 minutes against Barnet and came through unscathed.
Boss Dino Maamria has no new injury concerns, while striker Matty Godden is pushing for a bigger role after ending his six-game injury absence as a second-half substitute on Monday.
