Wigan striker Will Grigg is in contention to start in the home game against MK Dons.
Grigg has been nursing a calf strain, but came through unscathed after stepping off the bench in Monday’s defeat at Portsmouth.
Fellow striker James Vaughan also passed a fitness test before the Portsmouth game and is hoping to resume in the starting line-up.
Boss Paul Cook has no new injury or suspension worries and will choose from a full-strength squad.
MK Dons defender Elliott Ward is available again after sitting out Monday’s home defeat against parent club Blackburn.
Defender Scott Golbourne came off the bench against Blackburn and is in contention for his first start since New Year’s Day after recovering from hip surgery.
Striker Osman Sow remains a week away from full fitness after being forced out of the recent win against Bury.
On-loan duo Josh Tymon (groin) and Marcus Tavernier, plus Alex Gilbey (knee), are still unavailable.
