Falkirk extend unbeaten run after fighting back for draw

Falkirk stretched their Ladbrokes Championship unbeaten run to seven games as they came from behind with a late equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw with Queen of the South.

Falkirk made a bright start and took a deserved lead after five minutes when Andrew Nelson raced onto a poor pass from Queens’ Kyle Cameron to drill the ball past Jack Leighfield into the bottom corner of the net.

The home side drew level six minutes into the second half after a Dominic Thomas corner was only cleared as far as Joe Thomson on the edge of the penalty area and he rifled it into the back of the net.

Queens went ahead in the 74th minute as Danny Carmichael’s driven corner was glanced into the net by Darren Brownlie.

However, Falkirk substitute Louis Longridge danced through the Queens defence to prod home an equaliser three minutes from time.
