Marcelo picks his dream XI, naming Modric as captain

Marcelo's career has seen him play with some of the best players of the 21st century, whether at Real Madrid or for the Brazilian national team.

As such, it was difficult for him when he was asked to name an XI of the best players he has played with.

One thing he was clear about, though, was that Luka Modric should be the captain of the team, while he also insisted he should be allowed to include Zinedine Zidane because the Frenchman is his coach, even if the two players never actually featured together.

The XI was as follows: Julio Cesar; Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Sergio Ramos, Roberto Carlos; Casemiro, Luka Modric, Mesut Ozil, Zinedine Zidane; Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar.
