Peterhead continue promotion charge

Russell McLean bagged a brace as Peterhead kept their promotion charge on track with a 3-0 Ladbrokes League Two win over Clyde.
McLean scored his sixth goal in his last six games when he opened the scoring after just four minutes and he put Peterhead in control when he doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 68th minute.
Rory McAllister then made sure of the victory with his 31st goal of the season to make it three with a little over 10 minutes remaining.
Montrose kept pace with Peterhead with a 3-0 win over Edinburgh City at Links Park.
Lewis Milne got both goals in the first half before Martin Rennie added the third in stoppage time as the Gable Endies returned to winning ways after the defeat to Clyde last time out.
Elgin coasted to a 3-0 victory over Stirling at Borough Briggs.
Nathan Flanagan, Brian Cameron and Shane Sutherland got the goals before the game was even 25 minutes old.
Jordyn Sheerin levelled less than a minute after Mark McGuigan opened the scoring as bottom side Cowdenbeath drew 1-1 with Stenhousemuir, while Annan Athletic and Berwick Rangers played out a 0-0 draw.
