Carl Tremarco claims late winner as Inverness clinch Scottish Challenge Cup

Carl Tremarco netted a last-gasp winner as Inverness won the Scottish Challenge Cup for a second time courtesy of a 1-0 victory over fellow Championship side Dumbarton.
The final at St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park was heading for extra-time until Tremarco popped up at the back post to convert a low cross at the death.
Tremarco’s finish broke the hearts of Dumbarton in their first national cup final for 121 years.
Caley Thistle had blown a glorious chance to seal the trophy seven minutes from time when, after Chris McLaughlin handled in the area, Iain Vigurs’ tame penalty was saved by Scott Gallacher.
