Dundee United stayed fourth in the Ladbrokes Championship after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by fellow play-off hopefuls Dunfermline.
The visitors nearly took the lead with 17 minutes on the clock after good work by James Craigen and Nicky Clark but Declan McManus’ shot hit the post.
Dundee United’s Scott Fraser sent in a free-kick which was heading for the top corner only for Lee Robinson to get a hand to it and from the corner Tom Scobbie’s header was cleared off the line by Clark.
Dunfermline broke the deadlock early in the second half as Clark applied the finishing touch to a low cross with 52 minutes gone, but Scott McDonald drew the home side level three minutes later as he charged down an attempted clearance and the ball rebounded into the net to earn his side a share of the spoils.
