Usain Bolt is set to train with the Borussia Dortmund first team this week
Olympic legend Usain Bolt is set to train with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
The eight-time Olympic champion, who retired following the 2017 athletics world championships in London, is set to get involved in an open training session with the first team.
Dortmund, which shares a sponsor with Bolt in sportswear giants Puma, had long said that the 31-year-old could train with the team at some stage.
Bolt confirmed the news by uploading an image of himself wearing a Dortmund shirt on social media, writing: "BVB, get ready for Friday."
Dortmund's next game after the international break is against rivals Bayern Munich on March 31.
Peter Stoeger's side must register victory or risk Bayern official winning the Bundesliga title following the final whistle.
The Bavarian club are currently 17 points clear at the top of the division after 27 matches played, and can pick up the title following another victory providing other results also go in their favour.
Dortmund sit in third place on 48 points, 18 behind Bayern.
