The moment Eddie Nketiah was caught staring at Mesut Ozil for an uncomfortably long time

At the peak of his powers Mesut Ozil is arguably one of the best playmakers in world football, so we can't blame the talented Eddie Nketiah for being slightly taken aback by his presence.

In one of the funniest moments of Arsenal's Europa League tie against Milan on Thursday night, Nketiah was caught staring at Ozil when he was replaced by Sead Kolašinac in the 80th minute.

The German midfielder sat down on the bench and as you can see in the footage below, the youngster was fixated.

He must have stared at him for a solid nine seconds here. Brilliant:

Plenty on social media picked up on the fact that Nketiah was looking at Ozil for an unusually long time.

One Twitter user said: "Marry the person who looks at you the way Nketiah looks at Mesut Ozil"" while another wrote: "Nketiah be like - Is he real?"

Away from the stare of doom, Danny Welbeck found himself on the scoresheet not once, but twice during Arsenal's Europa League win against Milan on Thursday night, but the England international's goal scoring heroics were cancelled out by some questionable diving.

In the first half of Arsenal's win against Milan, Welbeck 'collided' with Milan defender Ricardo Rodríguez in the penalty box.

The referee controversially gave the spot kick after the 27-year-old flung himself down like he was competing for gold in the 2020 Olympics.

Welbeck proceeded to slot away the penalty with ease, but one Arsenal teammate couldn't even bring himself to watch the spot kick as he looked down at the ground, head in hands.
