Stalemate for Eastleigh and Orient
Posted Sunday, March 18, 2018 by PA
Eastleigh and Leyton Orient remained comfortably in mid-table following a drab 0-0 draw.
In the first period, Orient’s Jobi McAnuff caused concern with a 25-yard free-kick, but it did not dip quickly enough and clipped the Spitfires’ bar.
Mark Yeates came closest at the other end, but fired wide after a good move. The same man also curled narrowly past the post just after the interval as Andy Hessenthaler’s men remained a threat.
Graham Stack stack came to the home side’s rescue on the hour when he thwarted Dan Holman in a one-on-one.
However it was destined to end scoreless when Macauley Bonne headed James Brophy’s cross just wide late on.
