Hull will check on two unnamed players before finalising their squad for the home game against relegation rivals Barnsley.
Tigers boss Nigel Adkins confirmed two players sustained knocks during Friday night’s home win against Sheffield United and will be monitored.
Striker Abel Hernandez is hoping to be back in contention after a six month injury lay-off due to a ruptured Achilles and defender Ondrej Mazuch (hamstring) is also closing in on a return.
Stephen Kingsley (groin), Harry Wilson (shoulder), Moses Odubajo and James Weir (both knee) are all still out.
Barnsley boss Jose Morais will assess defender Daniel Pinillos, who missed his side’s first league win since New Year’s Day on Saturday at Birmingham due to illness.
Fellow defender Matt Mills remains doubtful due to an ankle injury that kept him out at the weekend, but Morais has no other new problems.
Adam Jackson is expected to continue alongside Liam Lindsay at the heart of defence if Mills misses out again.
Midfielder Christoph Knasmullner made his first appearance for the club off the bench at the weekend and is pushing for his first start, as is on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Connor Mahoney.
