Shots come from behind twice to earn point at Wrexham

Wrexham extended their unbeaten run to 12 games in the Vanarama National League but were forced to settle for yet another draw after twice being pegged back by promotion rivals Aldershot.
The Welsh side have proven hard to beat in recent weeks but a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon was the ninth time in their recent sequence they have failed to clinch all three points.
It was the Shots who started brightly as Will Evans’ header from a corner was cleared off the line by Sam Wedgbury but, against the run of play, Scott Quigley gave Wrexham a 21st-minute lead when the ball ricocheted off his chest from a Jonathan Franks corner.
The visitors deservedly levelled in the 43rd minute courtesy of Shamir Fenelon’s glancing header although Wrexham pulled ahead once more just before the hour mark when Quigley burst clear to fire beyond Jake Cole.
But the spoils were shared when Shots captain Callum Reynolds appeared to get the final touch to a corner with a quarter of an hour remaining.
