Dunfermline and Queen of the South play out goalless draw
Posted Sunday, February 25, 2018 by PA
Dunfermline’s winless run stretched to five Ladbrokes Championship games as they drew 0-0 at Queen of the South.
The visitors were denied an eighth-minute opener when Jack Leighfield tipped Declan McManus’ long-range drive over the bar.
Dunfermline continued to have the better of the first-half chances, with captain Nicky Clark missing the target from close range and Jean-Yves Mvoto heading over.
The hosts went close early in the second half but Lyndon Dykes saw his effort pushed away by visiting goalkeeper Lee Robinson.
The Pars were frustrated in their search for an away winner with Leighfield denying Clark and James Craigen in the last 20 minutes.
