Maidenhead inflict third straight loss on Eastleigh

Maidenhead maintained their slim play-off chances with a commanding 3-1 victory over Eastleigh to move seven points off seventh-placed Dover.
Striker Sean Marks headed over for the hosts while Sam Matthews let fly from 25 yards for Eastleigh in the early exchanges before Emmanuel Moses opened the scoring for Maidenhead with a well-taken 20-yard strike past goalkeeper Graham Stack.
However, the visitors were level on the stroke of half-time when Paul McCallum was brought down in the penalty area and centre-back Ayo Obileye converted for his seventh goal of the season.
Eastleigh centre-back Ryan Cresswell blasted over from 12 yards but the hosts regained the lead after 56 minutes when Marks stabbed home from close range after Stack parried Harold Odametey’s right-wing cross.
Harry Pritchard ensured maximum points for the hosts three minutes later when the midfielder scored directly from a corner as Eastleigh suffered their third successive league defeat.
