Alex Jakubiak leaves it late for Falkirk

Alex Jakubiak’s last-gasp goal saw Falkirk inflict yet another defeat on rock-bottom Brechin as the Buddies claimed a 1-0 win.
Brechin had looked set to hold on for a goalless draw at Glebe Park and claim only their fifth Scottish Championship point of the season.
However, Jakubiak stabbed the ball home in the third minute of stoppage time against 10-man Brechin, who had substitute Aron Lynas sent off in the 68th minute for a late challenge on Tom Taiwo.
The Bairns had seen an early penalty shout turned down when Rory Loy’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Paddy O’Neil and Jakubiak’s follow-up appeared to hit an arm, but referee Greg Aitken was unmoved.
Jon McKee had a late effort on goal for Falkirk when he hit the ball on the turn but it went just wide, before Jakubiak scored the late winner.
