Lucas Moura of Tottenham Hotspur comes on for Erik Lamela
Tottenham Hotspur picked up an impressive result against Juventus in the Champions League this week. They came back from two goals down to claim an important 2-2 draw and set them up for advancing to the next round with a gold result at Wembley in the return fixture.
Spurs also gave a debut to Lucas Moura in the game. The Brazilian, who cost Tottenham a fee in the region of £25 million according to the BBC, came on in the game for a brief cameo and was clearly happy to have been given that opportunity.
Speaking to the press in Brazil he has discussed how happy he was to make his debut, and how Tottenham's players have made him feel welcome at Hotspur Way.
He is quoted by Lance Press as stating:
"It's the beginning of my story here in Tottenham. It's an honor to be able to debut with this shirt in a tournament like the Champions League. Gradually I am acquiring the ideal relationship with the group. I was very well received by everyone here, it is a very strong squad and we can accomplish great things."
The Tottenham squad is clearly a tight-knit group of players and there is always a concern that breaking into that clique can be tough for a newcomer.
But it sounds as though they have made the winter recruit from PSG feel right at home already in North London.
Now he will be hoping to push his way into the first-team picture at Tottenham Hotspur, so he can start repaying the club for the faith they have shown in him on the pitch.
