Shots climb to second

Aldershot climbed to second in the Vanarama National League standings after a 2-0 win at Dagenham.
The Shots took the lead in the fourth minute thanks to Jim Kellermann, who lashed in a shot from the edge of the box after Scott Rendell won a header down from a Will Evans long pass.
Kellermann then set up Rendell in the second half for the visitors’ second, squaring the ball and allowing the striker to tap into an open goal in the 49th minute.
The win saw Aldershot climb above Wrexham, who drew 1-1 with Halifax, to sit a point behind leaders Macclesfield.
