Falkirk ease to victory as Brechin’s search for a win goes on

Brechin’s search for a first win of the season in the Ladbrokes Championship was extended as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Falkirk.
The Bairns took a 13th-minute lead when Alex Jakubiak swept home Rory Loy’s corner from six yards out for his second goal in two games.
And they doubled their advantage with 28 minutes on the clock when Jakubiak fired a low ball across the face of the goal and Loy was on hand to turn the ball into the net.
The visitors gave themselves a lifeline in 67th minute when Dylan Mackin fired into the bottom corner.
Falkirk almost immediately restored the two-goal advantage, though, with Louis Longridge getting onto a through ball from Joe McKee and curling beyond Graeme Smith.
