James Norwood bags brace as Tranmere ease past Ebbsfleet

James Norwood was the two-goal hero for Tranmere as they breezed past Ebbsfleet 3-0 at Prenton Park.
After a quiet start, Andy Cook lit the blue touch paper for the hosts in the 16th minute with a fierce shot from outside the box that flew past goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.
Rovers were in full control in the first half and Ashmore had to save from Norwood before a goal-bound rebound effort from Ollie Norburn was cleared off the line.
Norwood, however, did double Tranmere’s lead with another of his left-footed curlers from a long ball up field 10 minutes before the break.
The striker added his second and the hosts’ third with a well-taken one-on-one opportunity after 63 minutes to wrap up the points.
