Scottish Championship leaders St Mirren extended their lead over second-placed Dundee United thanks to a 2-0 win over Queen of the South.
Liam Smith scored his first goal for the Buddies when he thumped the ball into the top corner from 20 yards in the fourth minute.
Queens conceded a penalty in the 31st minute after John Rankin handled the ball in the area and Harry Davis converted from the spot.
Dundee United’s game against Inverness was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, meaning St Mirren stretched their advantage to 14 points.
