Cove Rangers booked a William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round date with Falkirk after a 2-0 win at Highland League rivals Formartine.
Harry Milne fired a free-kick just over the crossbar before the visitors went ahead through Ryan Stott in the 32nd minute.
Jonathan Crawford then saw Stuart McKenzie get down well to save his effort as Formartine tried to get back into the game before the interval.
Cove continued to press after the break and Ewen MacDonald had to be alert to deny Jamie Masson and Milne.
Mitchel Megginson saw MacDonald turn his 20-yard shot away but he was not to be denied and wrapped it up in the 68th minute when he fired into the corner of the net from 10 yards.
