Falkirk make Inverness pay the penalty

Aaron Muirhead scored two penalties as Falkirk overcame 10-man Inverness 3-1 in the Scottish Championship.
The visitors’ cause was not helped by the dismissal of Jake Mulraney a minute before half-time, the midfielder earning a second yellow card for kicking out at an opponent, and the hosts capitalised on their man advantage through Muirhead’s second-half brace.
Muirhead converted from the spot after Louis Longridge was tripped in the box, and then again in the 66th minute after Thomas Robson was felled.
Daniel Mackay pulled a goal back six minutes from the end, but Andrew Nelson slammed home three minutes later to swiftly restore the Bairns’ two-goal cushion and move them up to eighth in the standings.
