Hull City vs Nottingham Forest - Hull goalkeeper Marshall to return for Forest clash

Posted Saturday, January 27, 2018 by PA

Hull goalkeeper David Marshall will return to the starting line-up for his side’s home FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest.

Tigers boss Nigel Adkins has confirmed Marshall will replace Allan McGregor as he did in the third-round win at Blackburn.

Striker Will Keane is expected to be given more game time after making his first appearance in 14 months off the bench in last week’s defeat at Sunderland following a knee injury.

Defender Ondrej Mazuch is also back in contention after a hamstring injury but Kamil Grosicki, who has been out for a month with an ankle problem, will be assessed.

Forest will be without the suspended Liam Bridcutt for the fourth-round tie.

Bridcutt received his 10th yellow card of the season during the league win against Wolves last weekend and he must now serve a two-match ban.

Reds boss Aitor Karanka will hope David Vaughan is fit to replace Bridcutt after he missed out at Molineux with a slight injury sustained in training.

Daryl Murphy has yet to play in 2018 after sustaining a knock against his former club Sunderland on December 30 and the seven-goal striker is still a doubt.
