Sibbald strike proves the difference as Bairns win

Craig Sibbald fired improving Falkirk to a third win in five Ladbrokes Championship matches as Morton were beaten 1-0 at Cappielow.
Andrew Nelson twice came close for the Bairns early on but it was Sibbald who notched first, the Falkirk-born midfielder powering Louis Longridge's corner home on the half-volley in the 20th minute.
Morton almost equalised shortly after the half-hour mark when Robert Thomson stabbed one towards goal, but Reghan Tumilty made a last-ditch clearance.
As half-time approached Longridge's effort almost looped past Derek Gaston to find the top corner and, at the other end, Robbie Thomson made a fine stop to deny Bob McHugh.
Falkirk were dangerous after the break, too, and Sunderland loanee Nelson stung Gaston's palms before Longridge flashed a low drive just wide.
As time ticked away Morton were left frustrated when Thomas O'Ware's goal-bound header from a Scott Tiffoney corner was hacked off the line.
