Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw with West Ham United this evening, with sensational strikes from both sides lighting up the match.
However, the club's supporters are fuming with referee Mike Dean's decisions denying Spurs a number of penalty claims.
FT: Tottenham 1-1 West Ham
Sensational strikes from both sides saw honours evenly split in this evening's London derby.
A draw will leave for a real contrast in emotions between Spurs and West Ham, with Tottenham failing to make their dominance in possession count.
Pedro Obiang, with the Hammers' first shot of the game, produced a spectacular effort in the second-half as he rocketed a shot from distance past a helpless Hugo Lloris.
Heung-min Son was not to be outdone though, as he produced an exquisite long-range effort, silencing the away support.
Penalty shouts
The first appeal for a penalty came as Harry Kane was pulled to the floor by Pablo Zabaleta, with the Englishman being denied the chance to covert a cross.
Tottenham's second penalty claim came just before the hour mark when Dele Alli was kicked by Winston Reid who failed to win the ball.
The next came just a few moments later when goalkeeper Adrian brought Dele Alli to the ground as the pair contested to win a high, ricocheting Harry Kane effort.
Tottenham fans bemused
how the hell did we not win that? Christ knows how many efforts we had but 3 very good penalty claims turned down, So glad sonny got that goal and Lamela for the assist, no way did the spammers even deserve a point let alone a potential win

Mike Dean making up rules as he does. One game a penalty for a supposed handball, the next no penalty for a clear one. Man is a danger

If I never see Mike Dean referee a Spurs game again it’ll be too soon. Questionable team selection from Poch but had 3 or 4 good penalty shouts today #COYS

mike dean getting criticized for giving a penalty against arsenal is 100% the reason he didn't give one to us today

Baffles me how Chelsea got that penalty for basically nothing last night, yet Alli gets clattered by Adrian and nothing!?!
