Wolves beat Real Madrid to Rafa Mir signing

After rejecting a 500,000 euro bid from Real Madrid for Rafa Mir, Valencia have accepted a 2 million euro bid from English second division outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Having made his Champions League and Copa Del Rey debut under the Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo at Valencia, the dealing going through would see the pair reunite.

The forward is yet to make a first-team start this season despite featuring in the Copa Del Rey last term.
With Mir yet to agree a new contract and the move to Real Madrid falling through, the striker will welcome the switch.

Wolves currently lead the Championship by nine points and Mir could well be playing Premier League football next season.
