OLIVIER GIROUD'S wife Jennifer doesn't want to move to Merseyside - and that's official.

Sam Allardyce said so when asked if he thought he could lure the Arsenal striker to Goodison Park in the January transfer window.

It seems Olivier Giroud and his wife Jennifer will not be moving to Liverpool

Everton tried to sign the Frenchman in the summer.  Months later the new Goodison boss still truly needs a new front man to replace the departed Romelu Lukaku.

Even though the whole question might be academic as Giroud currently has a hamstring problem, Big Sam said: “I wouldn't have thought so because he refused to come last time.

“He doesn't want to move north of London, I don't think.

“Or his wife doesn't. It is very important to the wives you know.

“Normally they are the bosses, I say that with experience.”

Everton's lack of firepower was again evident in the goalless draw at West Bromwich.

They're not losing under Allardyce but they are not scoring many goals, either.

The Toffees are actually on an eight-game unbeaten run but have scored only 24 goals in 20 Premier League games.

At least Yannick Bolasie returned at the Hawthorns after a year out through injury.

But Dominic Calvert-Lewin was ineffective.

And his replacement Oumar Niasse was twice denied by WBA keeper Ben Foster.
