Richie Wellens will be hoping illness in the Rochdale camp will subside ahead of a meeting with Fleetwood.
The Latics were drubbed 4-1 by Plymouth on Saturday and Wellens admitted reserves were running low afterwards.
Eoin Doyle and Kean Bryan were amongst those to miss the trip to Argyle.
"The only positive I can see is we have got another game in a few days. I am hoping to get some players back and they feel better," he said.
Fleetwood defender Cian Bolger is a doubt after being forced off with a knock in Friday's defeat at Gillingham.
Club captain Nathan Pond replaced him on the night and could step in from the start.
Forward Ash Hunter is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after impressing as a second-half substitute, as is Jack Sowerby.
Baily Cargill and Aiden O'Neill's places are under threat after both were hauled off at half-time, while forward Conor McAleny could be involved in the squad for the first time in two months after an ankle injury.
