Barcelona deny Griezmann approach

Following a complaint filed to FIFA by Atletico Madrid regarding Barcelona's attempts to approach Antoine Griezmann, the Catalans have dismissed holding any talks with the Frenchman.
The Blaugrana have reportedly been in pursuit for the player's signature, but sources from inside the club declined any negotiations with the former Real Sociedad forward's party.
"Barcelona have not negotiated with any player, so we understand that no irregularity has been committed," said a club spokesman to MARCA.
On Monday, Barcelona's director of sporting relations Guillermo Amor didn't rule out a potential deal between the two parties, although Griezmann is under contract with the Rojiblancos until 2022.
If football's international governing body decide in favour of Atleti's report, Ernesto Valverde's club might face severe penalties, that could also include transfer sanctions.
