Carlisle captain Danny Grainger faces a race against time to be fit for the FA Cup second-round replay against Gillingham.
The left-back was forced off in the second half of the 1-1 draw at Priestfield with a rib injury and missed the 3-3 draw against Newport at the weekend.
Forwards Hallam Hope and Shaun Miller have been dropped to the bench in recent weeks and both are pushing for a start.
Keith Curle could also turn to creative midfielder Jamie Devitt, who has not started a game for over a month, as he seeks a first win in five games.
Conor Wilkinson could be ready to contribute as Gillingham bid to reach the third round.
The striker missed Saturday's league defeat at Plymouth due to a knee problem but Gills boss Steve Lovell hopes to have the 22-year-old back in contention for FA Cup duty.
Captain Lee Martin, who had reported a tight hamstring late last week, managed all 90 minutes at Home Park and should play some part in Cumbria.
Defender Bradley Garmston is still working his way back to fitness following a hamstring injury and midfielder Billy Bingham is unavailable due to a broken ankle.
