League One leaders Shrewsbury eased through to the second round of the FA Cup with a 5-0 win against Aldershot.
Goals from Alex Rodman, Shaun Whalley, Stefan Payne, Arthur Gnahoua and Carlton Morris wrapped up a comfortable victory for Paul Hurst's side.
Shrewsbury had already gone close by the time they took the lead. Payne's header was well saved by Mark Smith, diving low to his right and then Smith did well to take the ball off Payne as the striker tried to round him.
But goalkeeper Smith was eventually beaten in the 20th minute as Rodman, a former Aldershot player, squeezed in a far-post header from Joe Riley's cross from the right.
Shrewsbury doubled their lead four minutes later with Whalley converting a penalty after Rodman was brought down by Smith.
Fabien Robert went closest to reducing the arrears for the National League visitors just before the break but fired wide after a strong run.
Shrewsbury then scored three times in seven minutes midway through the second half.
Payne turned in his eighth goal of the season after being set up by Whalley in the 62nd minute before subs Gnahoua and Morris also got in on the act.
Gnahoua swept a Rodman cross high into the net before Norwich loanee Morris was sent clear by Whalley to fire a fifth high into the net.
