Northampton held to scoreless draw by Scunthorpe

Northampton and Scunthorpe will require a replay to determine who progresses into round two of the FA Cup after the two sides played out a goalless draw at Sixfields.
In the only all League One clash of the round, the home side were the better team for long periods but their control of possession failed to translate into chances and a 0-0 draw always seemed the likely outcome.
Northampton dominated the first half and struck the woodwork twice in a minute when Aaron Pierre's header crashed back off the crossbar before Lewis McGugan's superb free-kick clattered the post.
Pierre had a second header cleared off the line by Lee Novak while Hakeeb Adelakun shot over when well-placed with Scunthorpe's best chance.
Substitute Marc Richards was off target with two headers after half-time and home goalkeeper David Cornell clawed away Josh Morris' long-range shot but despite both sides' best efforts to prevent a replay, a lack of genuine quality in the final third meant they will have to do it all over again.
