Kallum Higginbotham scores brace as Dunfermline move to second spot

Dunfermline moved above Livingston to second in the Ladbrokes Championship as Kallum Higginbotham scored twice in a 3-1 win at East End Park.
The Pars took a bizarre second-minute lead when goalkeeper Neil Alexander's clearance rebounded into the net off Higginbotham.
Home keeper Sean Murdoch made a good save from Joshua Mullin and then had to be alert to keep the ball out when Shaun Byrne charged down Lee Ashcroft's clearance.
But Fraser Aird made it 2-0, cutting in from the left and finding the far top corner, and then set up Higginbotham to score his second and the Pars' third before the break.
Nicky Clark hit the post on the hour, while Danny Mullen missed a good initial chance to pull a goal back before finally turning home from Nikolay Todorov's flick-on late on.
