Harry Forrester on target as Wimbledon edge Northampton

A fine second-half goal from Harry Forrester helped AFC Wimbledon earn their first-ever win over struggling Northampton with a 1-0 result on Saturday.
The Dons had failed to win any of their previous 12 meetings against Northampton since reforming in 2002 but Forrester's excellent finish - their first goal in five League One games - was enough to take the spoils from a poor game and lift them out of the relegation zone.
Forrester dragged a harmless early shot wide but it was not until the 43rd minute when either goalkeeper was brought into action as Wimbledon's George Long tipped over a venomous drive by Daniel Powell.
The second-half did not improve much as a spectacle but a mix-up in the Northampton defence proved costly as it allowed Forrester to pick up possession and drive forward before beating Matt Ingram with a brilliant finish into the bottom corner after 61 minutes.
Ash Taylor immediately squandered a fine chance to level while Lyle Taylor fired into the side-netting as Wimbledon withstood late pressure to clinch a first victory at Sixfields.
