St Mirren made it six Scottish Championship wins out of eight as a 2-1 victory over Brechin took them top of the table.
Saints opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Stephen McGinn's ball over the top fell kindly for Cammy Smith and he slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.
Brechin were back on level terms after 38 minutes when former St Mirren winger Kalvin Orsi stooped low to head home Jordan Sinclair's deep cross.
St Mirren went in front for the second time with 12 minutes remaining when striker Dale Hilson converted a cross from substitute Ross Cameron Stewart from close range.
