A first-half double from striker Danny Hylton helped Luton to a 3-1 win over Newport at Kenilworth Road.
The hosts took the lead after 12 minutes when Alan Sheehan's 40-yard free-kick appeared to fly straight in.
Harry Cornick was denied a second by a fine Joe Day save, before Luton made it 2-0 after 22 minutes - Hylton cleverly converting James Collins' low cross from close range.
Hylton then made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after 35 minutes when Glen Rea was hauled back in the area, while Jack Stacey almost had a fourth, his low shot cannoning back off a post.
In the second half, Cornick was off target before Newport pulled one back in the 55th minute as Joss Labadie tucked home.
Mickey Demetriou was inches way from making it 3-2, while Luke Gambin's effort on the counter was charged down.
Cornick blasted wide from a decent position, while Hylton drove into the side-netting and Olly Lee slammed over, but Luton withstood an aerial bombardment to make it five games unbeaten.
