Port Vale barren run goes on after being held at Yeovil

Ten-man Port Vale's run without a win was extended to eight Sky League Two matches following a 1-1 draw with Yeovil at Huish Park.

Despite being bottom of the table it was the Valiants who had the better of the first half with David Worrall and Tom Pope both going close.

It was Pope who then gave them the lead on 29 minutes when Artur Krysiak misjudged a Tyler Denton cross and the striker headed it past the goalkeeper.

The Glovers got back into agaisnt the run of play from another goalkeeping error after half-time as Kelle Roos spilled a low Jake Gray cross and Otis Khan reacted quickest for a tap in after 65 minutes.

Things got even worse for the visitors in the 81st minute when James Gibbons, having only been booked seven minutes earlier, got in a scuffle with Khan and was shown a second yellow card.

Yeovil could not make the extra man count, though, as managerless Vale left Somerset with a hard-fought point.
