Monchengladbach 2 - 0 VfB Stuttgart: Gladbach end winless run thanks to Raffael double

Brazilian Raffael's second-half brace earned Borussia Monchengladbach a 2-0 victory over Stuttgart and their first win in four games.
Gladbach had not won since beating Cologne in their opening Bundesliga fixture, drawing two and losing the other since, but two goals in the space of 17 minutes got them back on track.
Following a quiet opening half Raffael broke the deadlock in the 57th minute after playing the ball out wide right to Nico Elvedi before breaking into the box and guiding a volley into the far corner.
The hosts then had a penalty to wrap it up when Dennis Aogo foolishly pulled down Thorgan Hazard from a free-kick, with Raffael sending goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler the wrong way from the spot.
Stuttgart had opportunities to claim a consolation but Tobias Sippel's stoppage-time save from Andreas Beck, who had earlier blazed over a good chance, preserved Gladbach's clean sheet.
