Callum Fordyce wins it for Queen of the South against Dumbarton

Defender Callum Fordyce was on the scoresheet again as Queen of the South made it back-to-back wins in the Ladbrokes Championship with a 1-0 victory over Dumbarton.
Fordyce, who also netted in Queens' opening-day defeat to Dundee United, scored with a 44th-minute header to cap a dominant first half from the hosts which saw visiting goalkeeper Scott Gallacher keep out efforts from Shaun Rooney and Stephen Dobbie (twice).
Queens continued to dominate after the interval and Gallacher was called upon again to deny Dobbie before previously-unbeaten Dumbarton finally started to threaten as an attacking force.
Sons' substitute Calum Gallagher could not make the most of his chance, though, and Queens held on for a win that lifts them up to third.
