Lazar Markovic has been told by Jurgen Klopp he can talk to other clubs
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp is ditching Markovic, and is prepared to take a £13m hit on the Serbian winger.
Markovic, 22, has failed to make an impact since arriving at Anfield from Benfica three years ago and has managed just 19 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
Now he is up for grabs at a knockdown price following disappointing loan spells at Fenerbahce and Sporting Lisbon.
Watford boss Marco Silva signed him on loan during his spell in charge at Hull last January and remains an admirer.
Leonid Slutsky, Silva’s successor at the KCOM, is also a fan and sees Markovic as an ideal replacement for Ahmed Elmohamady who quit the Tigers for a £1m move to Aston Villa earlier this month.
