Man Utd want Torino star Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata
Jose Mourinho is expected to splash the cash this summer to mount a title challenge next year.
United also have Champions League football back at Old Trafford after a year out of the prestigious competition.
It was revealed earlier that Mourinho hopes to wrap up a deal for Real Madrid star Morata by the end of this week.
The Spain international could fly to the north-west in the next few days before putting pen to paper on a United deal.
And according to The Independent, the Red Devils hope to land Morata and focus on Torino star Belotti.
They say Mourinho is a huge fan of the Italy international, who netted 28 goals in all competitions last season.
The striker won't come cheap with the Serie A side demanding United pay Belotti's £84m release clause.
The Independent add that the hitman is ready to leave Torino, which could lead to the Red Devils agreeing a deal for the 23-year-old.
But if the Italian outfit stand firm on Belotti's price tag, Mourinho will walk away from any possible deal.
