Grimsby boss Russell Slade has doubts over Zak Mills and James Berrett for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Plymouth at Blundell Park.
Both players missed last week's trip to Barnet with hamstring injuries and are likely to be ruled out again against Argyle.
Defender Gavin Gunning is definitely out as he serves the third game of his three-match suspension.
Striker Akwasi Asante has undergone surgery on an ankle problem and is already facing a battle to be fit for the start of next season.
Sonny Bradley is in contention for a starting berth as league leaders Plymouth look to clinch the title on the final day of the season.
Bradley had missed their previous two games with a leg injury before featuring off the bench against Crewe last time out.
Manager Derek Adams could hand a start to Nathan Blissett after the forward scored the winner last weekend.
A victory would seal the title for the Pilgrims.
