Alvaro Morata could be on his way out of Real Madrid this summer
DIEGO SIMEONE reportedly told Alvaro Morata on Tuesday to QUIT Real Madrid and to join him at Atletico Madrid.
Morata has grown increasingly frustrated at his lack of game time at Real Madrid in his first season back at the Bernabeu.
The 24-year-old has started just 17 games in all competitions this term and was an unused substitute in Real's 3-0 first-leg Champions League semi-final win over Atletico on Tuesday.
During the game Simeone could be seen saying something to Morata with his hand covering his mouth as the striker warmed up past his dugout.
And Cadena COPE claim Simeone made a jovial effort to tempt Morata into making the controversial transfer to leave Real for Atletico.
Simeone reportedly told Morata: "Come with me to Atletico."
The Atletico boss could be seen laughing soon after making the comment but with Morata's future at Real far from certain, Simeone's comments could be construed as a thinly veiled attempt to lure him to Atletico.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly registered an interest in bringing the Spain international to the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho wants to bring in another striker following the long-term injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Morata is one of his main targets.
Antonio Conte knows Morata well from their time together at Juventus and tried to sign him last summer, only to have a £60million bid rejected.
