Joe McDonnell could retain his place in goal for AFC Wimbledon when they host Peterborough in Sky Bet League One.

The 22-year-old impressed in Friday's goalless draw at Swindon after being called upon due to an illness afflicting first-choice goalkeeper James Shea.

Teenage midfielder Alfie Egan is pushing for a recall after being dropped to the bench for the Robins game.

Dean Parrett and Andy Barcham, who missed the defeat to Bristol Rovers on April 8, could also come back into the Dons' starting line-up after returning as substitutes at the County Ground.

Peterborough have doubts over Jack Baldwin and Leo Da Silva Lopes for the trip to Kingsmeadow.

Central defender Baldwin was a late withdrawal from the squad ahead of Friday's loss to Fleetwood due to illness, while 18-year-old midfielder Lopes was substituted early in the second half because of stomach cramps.

Mid-table Posh have little left to play for and boss Grant McCann has said he will continue to experiment between now and the end of the season.

Teenagers Andrea Borg and Lewis Freestone could retain their places after making their debuts against the Cod Army.
