Exeter City vs Newport County - Reuben Reid could land Exeter start

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could hand super-sub Reuben Reid a start when the Grecians host relegation-threatened Newport.

Reid has scored three times after coming off the bench recently, netting important goals against Blackpool, Yeovil and latterly Mansfield to keep Exeter on course for the play-offs.

Craig Woodman is a definite non-starter, though, as he continues his recovery from a broken arm, which could mean another run at left-back for on-loan Crystal Palace defender Luke Croll.

Croll, normally a centre-back, filled the role impressively against the Stags, with Exeter now seeking another victory to keep them in the top six and ahead of closest challengers Carlisle.

Newport have been hit by the loss of their captain Joss Labadie for the trip to Devon, plus Easter games against Yeovil and Plymouth.

Labadie was sent off in last Saturday's 1-0 victory over Crawley and County then lodged an unsuccessful appeal with the Football Association.

Mark Randall and Tom Owen-Evans are in contention to replace Labadie, while Exiles boss Mike Flynn has ruled out returning to playing at this stage.

Striker Marlon Jackson, meanwhile, remains sidelined while he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
